Some recent business ventures include a marketing company, a real estate brokerage, and a local coffee shop. She holds a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems and Accounting from Luther College, Decorah, Iowa. While at Luther College, she won the Erdman Award for Entrepreneurship with one of her business ventures.
